Destination: Dunhuang-Turpan-Urumqi-Kashgar
Day1 Dunhuang (L+D)
In the morning pick up you at airport , Dunhuang is a famous passage on the silk road . It is also the western doorway of the Hexi Corridor. After lunch. Visit the Sound Sand-Hill (ride camel for a short time) and Moon-Crescent Spring (Yueya Quan). The Sound Sand-Hill is made up of colorful sand that causes it to look like a hill of grain; the hill is more than forty kilometers from east to west and twenty kilometers from north to south. It is exciting to slide down from the top of the hill on the sand. The Crescent Spring is surrouned by Sounding-sand Hill. Unbelievable, the wind never blows the sand into the spring, On Duanyang Festival, local people come here to worship for good luck. Have dinner in the local restaurant. If you like you could enjoy the Flying Singing and Dancing Show (Optional).Day2 Dunhuang to Turpan (B+L+D)
After breakfast, you will travel to the famous Mogao Grottoes which display a very colorful and descriptive world in the paintings of : Buddha, illustrations of Buddhist scriptures. The stories of ghosts on the earth, stores explaining the tenets of Buddhism, the development of Buddhist history, sacrificial ceremonies, and some paintings apparently just for decoration. After dinner, we will take overnight train (Soft bed Train) to Turpan.Day3 Turpan (B+L+D)
You will arrive at Turpan in the morning, Tupan is a famouse historial city, the climate of Turpan Basin is dry and hot and it seldom rains. After breakfast, we will visit Jiaohe Ancient Ruins, the ancient ruins of key city on silk road, many ruins are well preserved. Follows proceed to visit the Karez Well that is an ingenious underground irrigation system that created on oasis I the extraordinarily arid area of Turpan. After Lunch, visit the Flaming Mountain, the red sandstone of Houyan Shan gives the mountain its reddish hues, and the mountain looks fiery under the sun at noon. Then, we will go to Gaochang Ruins, Astana Ancient Tombs and Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves. The most families in Turpan have their own grape trellis and orchards. The Grape Valley in Turpan has become a famous tourist spot. And then go to Urumqi, check in HotelDay4 Turpan/Urumqi (B+L+D)
After breakfast, You will be invited to visit warm-hearted Kazak People Family, they will offer fried cookies, milk tea dried grapes which are local specialty. Then, we will go to visit the Heaven Mountain and the Heavenly Lake (including the ropeway and cruise), Heaen Lake was once Know as Yaochi, with many stories and picturesque surroundings this fair land is special indeed. An ancient poem tells that a Western Queen once lived here, the king of china come to visit, and finally they fell in love. Enjoy your shopping in Xinjiang International Big Bazzar which is the place with the unique construction located in two bridges, it attracts the lots of tourists to visit, shopping and watch the traditional dancing.Day5 Urumqi/Kashgar(B+L+D)
After breakfast, our guide will send you to airport and transfer to Kashgar, which is one of the four big towns in Anxi during Tang Dynasty and as one of the great Moslem cities of Western Religion during Ming Dyansty. You will visit Fragrant Imperial Concubine Tomb. It is said that not only the concubine and her clothes were buried here, but Abakh Hoja, a famous Islamic missionary, and his descendants were also buried here. Following proceed to Big Bazzar, over here daily products imported from Pakistan, Turkey, and other border countries can be bought on the bazzar in Kashgar,Day6 Kashgar/ Urmqi (B+L+D)
In the morning proceed to visit Kashgar Ancient Town, you could observe the different living style in the west end of China, acquired the local customer, traditional goods. And then, visit Id Kah Mosque which is the largest Mosque in Xinjiang. And this mosque is the main place for kashgar moslems to carry out their religious activities. Take the night fight to Urumqi.Day7 Urumqi
In the morning, according to flight time, send you back to airport and see off.![]() |
